Accomplishments

Woodland Forrest has numerous accomplishments, espcially in the areas of enivronmental education and sustainability. 

As a Discovering Alabama model school, great emphasis is placed on science and environmental learning through the science lab and our Certified Alabama Outdoor Classroom. In the science lab, students take part in weekly lessons involving environmental education, as well as robotics, chess, gardening and hands-on lessons with the 10 different animals that live there. The outdoor classrooms include vegetable and butterfly gardens, ponds, sensory gardens and a nature trail.
