Cognia STEM Certification

Woodland Forrest was honored with the designation of being a STEM Certified school through Cognia. Achieving STEM Certification has been a goal for WFES the last few years.
Last year, the WFES team worked together to build a portfolio based on 16 indicators in which evidence was provided to show how WFES meets each indicator. WFES then hosted a STEM Certification review in which the STEM team presented the evidence and parents, teachers, students, and community partners participated in interviews. At the conclusion of the review, WFES was recommended for STEM Certification. Our goals do not stop with achieving STEM Certification.
WFES plans to continue to lead the way in STEM education through evolving practices and growing opportunities for students.
